I need some culture

And this time, sa MOA siya!!!

I-google ninyo and you'll find na OK naman generally ang mga reviews.

For the most part, I am mostly curious and at the same time, experience something... beyond the usual shallow stuff that I do. (aka birdwatching)

hahahaha!

And if you're not into the intellectual shit, then check this out:

Two birds in one stone di ba?

Watch the unedited videos below:

gay kiss at 2:07

gay kiss and wedding at 00:26

Para akong sinampal.

Maybe I've been living in a bubble, being surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends and (most importantly) other fearless fags. For some nreason, I've always felt like there's NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY. Apparently, a lot of people STILL do not share the same sentiment.

What MTV and Channel V did brought me back to reality... na sa karamihan ng mga Pilipino (or maybe, Asia - since regional feeds ung nasa TV) hindi pa rinpala tanggap ng nakararami kaming mga bakla.

I mean, if it was humping... or even torrid kissing... I'd probably understand it. BUT NO.

Firework is a statement to self-love and acceptance. It tells people who are "different" to have the strength to face the world and be proud of themselves. Apparently Channel V and MTV (or maybe even government media regulatory boards) thinks that gays should go hide under a rock and die.

Raise Your Glass says pretty much the same thing, going to the next level, showing gay love and commitment. I don't see what's wrong with showing two people who are in love get married. Apparently, Channel V and MTV thinks it's more acceptable to sleep with priests and nuns than marry the man you love.

Yeah, I've been living in a bubble. And out there, there's a fight to be won.

Yes, Filipinos, unlike other nations, are not as oppressive to the gays, but our existence is still seen as something to be TOLERATED but not yet accepted as NORM.

Ang sakit palang masampal.

An Afternoon with the Golden Gays

So anyway...

A few weeks before Christmas, nagmessage sakin yung long lost cousin ko na si eric sa FB, "hey cuz! You wanna do drag on New Years?" ang opening ni bakla.

Shempre hihindi ba ako?

Buong akala ko naman ay rarampa kami sa isang bongalore na New Year's Eve Party.

WIT!

Para pala siya sa Home for the Golden Gays!

Dito nagsimula ang lahat. Nung nabasa ko yan, gusto ko talagang makisali. I mean, you know, all this time I've been ranting about not having a lovelife, not having a job, gadgets breaking down on me, my right ear going deaf, etc etc... and yet here are people who have years of wisdom to share and all they need is an audience to listen to them.

SO of course I said yes.

When I met Migs that day, I told him, "Akala ko dati urban legend lang ang golden gays.

The institution is apparently as real as the cocks I've been sucking.

It was established years before by a PLU councillor in Manila. It has been funded by the government for a time but with the founder out of office, it's only a miracle how they manage to get along.

The House, as the name suggests, admits members of the LGBT community who no longer have a place to stay and are, well, not really young.

Ito ang kinalabasan ng pagrampa ko that day:

Nakilala namin doon sina Lola Leony at Lola Rica and the other Giolden Gay Beau Con contestants.

ANyway, will talk about it more some other time.

SO POORITA!
