Open letter to 2010

Dear 2010,

I'm done being nice and positive and being all faux-chirpy.

I fucking hate you!

I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!

If I could kill you, I'd shoot you in the head and have you run over by a 10-wheeler truck.

2010, you were cruel. No one has fucked me over as bad as you.

With you, I was an emotional trainwreck.

With you, I turned myself into a slut and lost that thing they call, self-respect.

With you, my work, which was going rather well, BTW, turned shitty.

iPod got broke

Laptop went PFFFFFFFFT

And now, as a last hurrah, my right ear is deaf.

You couldn't have given me a better farewell fuck!

Die already! DIE!

With luck, I hope 2011 will be kinder.

My 2010 in photos

It's almost the end of another year and I thought that, y'know, I'd pay tribute to all the shit that has passed in the 360 and so days.

But, as opposed to the usual rundown and checklist of all the THINGS that I've DONE, BOUGHT, and BEEN TO, I thought I'd do something different...

I mean, with all the blues of singlehood in the Holidays, and looking back at all the crazy dates, hook ups, and relation-SHIT of the past year, I thought it's befitting that instead of looking OUTSIDE, I'd end the year by looking INSIDE of me and celebrate the ME that made 2010 very VERY interesting.

HERE WE GO:

NOTE: Please play this music while reading this post for maximum effect. Tenks! :p

MY 2010 WAS GREAT BECAUSE..

I was uncontrollably goofy:

... and I couldn't help being campy:

I got drunk

... got wild

... passed out

... and laughed at it!

Dahil pinapanindigan ko ang kalandian ko...

I've found out my inner gender-bending freak

... and I loves it! (No matter what people say)

I discovered I can make a living out of painting people's faces :D

I found out I was hella flexible

I was on a perpetually postponed diet-work-out regimen (aka I just love eating heehee)

Dahil feeling model ako minsan OK, fine, most of the time

(I'm such a cam whore)

Coz, I'm like, REALLY CUTE (walang tututol)

Coz I did not compromise who I am to please others.

Sabi nga ni Edna sa Hairspray:

You can't stop my happiness coz I like the way I am

And through it all, despite all the unexpected twists and all the drama, I was surrounded by love (even when I thought I was lost and alone)

2010 was not all that, but I am DECIDING to look at it the other way; to count my blessings and to look FORWARD to bigger and better things that may come my way.

Should you be one of the people who made my 2010 bearable, I offer you a big hug and a kiss! MWAH!

Early Christmas GV!!!

Ang tagal na pala since nung nadukutan ako ng phone sa bus (Read the post HERE)

Since that very MALAS day, I've been using my old 6300 (which was handy coz I can use it to take photos of Commuter Cuties!!!)

It's OK, I get by, but I miss having a NICE phone, especially a touchscreen phone (coz it's easier to access FB and Twitter. haha!)

Then last Saturday, I was browsing through Tipic CP.com and found this unit up for sale. It's not entirely brand new, but for the price it was a bargain!

I wanted to buy it but, you know, unemployed and all, so better tipid mode. Then my mom (who was listening in to me and my cousin's conversation) peeped in my rooms and said, "Magkano ba yan?"

When I told her it was being sold for a fraction of the original price, she said, "O, tawagan mo na yang seller. Kunin na natin mamaya." and left.

OMG! May sakit ata ang nanay ko! (Or baka sadyang nakakaawa lang ang itsura ko that day)

So there we were 2 hours later checking out the phone (which was being sold by a rather CUTE GUY - did not take photos, excited sa phone).

It was in tiptop shape and all was working rather well.

Long story short, I HAVE A NEW PHONE!!! weeeeeeee!!!!

PS: Stylus po yung katabi, hinde eye liner, kei? wag echisera! TSEH!

Pagkauwi namin, ang parting words ni inay: "O, ipadukot mo ulit yan sa bus!"

Deadmalur! I have a new toy! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Salamas mudrabelles! You're the best!

* * *

Kung marinig din kaya ng nanay ko na gusto ko ng boyfriend, ihanap din kaya nya ako? Hmmmmmmm........

Bonggang Bonggang Baguio!

Going up to Baguio last Sunday would have to be the most fun thing I've done since becoming a bum.

After a rather haggard Saturday, I stuffed four scarves into my bag, a change of shirt and undies, and a small overnighter kit, met up with Happy and the gang and went to Victory liner.

We got the 1am trip and I convinced my friends to get the regular bus (I was kinda saving so I really don't wanna take the deluxe bus).

Well, I kinda paid for the 300 pesos savings with a slight back ache and a rather rude woman who kept on kicking the back of my chair. The god new though was that instead of the expected 8-hour trip it only took us around 6 hours to get to Baguio City.

The uncomfortable sleep was rather worth it. Just moments after stepping out of the bus, we were greeted by sightings of cute guys with naturally rosy cheeks! hee hee hee

And, I have to say, seeing Baguio in the early morning light is just breathtaking:

I've only been to Baguio for like, 4 other times in the past. And yeah, there's probably not that much exciting stuff to do there as compared to other tourist spots in the country. (I mean, once you've been to Mine's View, and the Strawberry Farm, the Botanical garden, etc, there isn't much else to do and see).

But despite that I still like going there. To me, it's the perfect city away from THE City.

I can't say exactly what is it that makes Baguio that charming. Is it the natural chill in the air? The crispness of the mountain air? The greenery that's just everywhere? Or is it the general "laidback-ness" of the whole Baguio atmosphere?

I really can't put my finger on it, maybe it's all of that, I dunno. But the place creeps into my lungs like the air and burries itself in the crevices of my heart. It's just a very charming place that I'd like to back to over and over again.

The sights at Mine's View

But of course, aside from the place itself, the trip will not be as much fun without the company:

NOT IN PICTURE: Ferdee and his Mom. Tita DIgna was just a little too tired and Ferdee, well, he's the one holding the cam :D

I think more than anything else, it's being surrounded by good friends that make a simple mini-vacay extra special

AND FOOD!!!

OK, my bad, wasn't able to take photos of the food coz we were ALWAYS too hungry to even THINK of taking their pics. hahaha

Another good thing about Baguio? THE BOYS!!!

Yeah baby!

Their exotic but NOT the Cafe Havana-type of exotic. and the rosy cheeks! ARGH!

(OK, this deserves a post of their own)

The guy on my left (right side of the screen) is pretty cute in person! not to mention he's got a perfectly perky butt hanging from that loin cloth! slurp!

The most memorable cutie would have to be the cadet standing beside me! GAWD I literally had to run to the other side of the street to catch him and convince him to have his pcture taken with us. hahahaha!

I swear he's so cute, even Happy was gushing! hahaha. Let's xoom in, shall we?

My eyebags are horrible (forgot to edit!) I look like a character from a Tim Burton movie!

BUT, the best of part of a one-day out of town trip?

CAM WHOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!

CHIKIDAWT, we're fabulous!

I'm no photographer now am I a DSLR-wielder but I REALLY like this shot.
The way the light hits the trees and Kuya Raoul, the softness of the shadows, and the 'candid' facial expression = amazing!

Now, BOG! (Vogue, but in Tagalog):

That's 6'7" feroshness to you betch! Represent!

O di ba? Parang military-meets-casual na lumo-Lolita lang ng pose!

Now, all of us, three! (CHAR! haha)

PAK!

BOOOOGGGGGG!!!!

And now, the obligatory self-portraits!

At ang walang patumanggang kabaklaan:

PPPHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK!!!
